To make it easy, you can simply choose between English (Lavandula angustifolia) and French (Lavandula x intermedia) lavender.
The English lavender is dark blue and very vibrant in colour. Only Folgate is a lighter purple/blue. French lavender is less vibrant in colour, but has a stronger scent. It is often used in sachets and for essential oil.
English bouquets are 10-13” (inches) in length, French bouquets are 16-18” (inches) long.
